Developing youth leadership was a goal of the Grant training.  More than 600 young men and women were trained in leadership skills.  They operated 24 Youth Corners, sites provided by the City of Harare to use as a meeting place.  The Grant supplied computers and printers to each Corner.  The youth were able to generate income through recording music and by selling computer services at the Corner..

The young participants learned about the transmission of AIDS and became advocates of avoiding risky behavior  among their peers.

Seeing the accomplishments of the Women's Self Help Groups, leaders of one of the Corners modified the training material to include economic training as well.  They taught this revised material to 100 Youth Corner participants.  Learning how to generate income since many of the youths were supporting their families.

Energized by their successes, these same participants organized two Youth Sports Days as Rotary events, delivering the messages of respect for one’s body and for the environment.
